If you wish to move your domain to Integrated Applications, there are different procedures for .uk domains and international domains.
If you wish to move your domain to Integrated Applications, the procedure depends on the type of domain:
- .uk domains
You must ask the current administrator of the domain to change the IPSTAG of the domain to ‘ENOM’. Inform us when that has been done. Note we cannot pick up the domain if it has been ‘detagged’, in this case contact Nominet UK . Transfers are free unless your domain has less than 3 months to run, in which case we’ll charge you the normal registration cost and extend the registration for 2 years. - .com/.net/.org domains
Before asking us to transfer the domain, please ensure that the owner contact details recorded against the domain are correct and that the domain name is unlocked for transfer (your current registrar can check this).Transferring .com and .net domain names requires an EPP transfer authorization code, a security code that indicates you have the right to transfer the domain name. Please contact your current registrar to obtain this code prior to submitting your transfer request. We will then initiate the transfer and you will receive an email asking you to confirm the change of administration – simply follow the instructions in the email. You will be charged for one years renewal of the domain, and one year will be added to the renewal date of the domain.
- .info/.biz
Before asking us to transfer the domain, please ensure that the owner contact details recorded against the domain are correct and get a transfer password for us to use. You should be able to get a transfer password from your current registrar. We’ll then initiate the transfer and you may receive an email asking you to confirm the change of administration – simply follow the instructions in the email. You will be charged for one years renewal of the domain, and one year will be added to the renewal date of the domain. - All other domain names
Inform us that you wish to transfer the domain and we’ll check the current transfer rules and instruct you what will happen.
In all cases, it takes around 24 hours for the changes to the domain to become live, so don’t cancel your previous hosting and email during this period.
What should I do if I’ve lost contact with my previous host/registrar?
If you have lost control of your domain, for instance if your previous host has stopped trading, the procedure depends on the type of domain:
- .uk domains
Contact Nominet, the central registry for .uk names. They can usually help you regain control of a domain name, although they charge a fee for this service. - .com/.net/.org/.info/.biz domains (gTLD domains)
Try doing a whois lookup to see where the domain was registered. If it was another registrar other than the one you used, they may help you.ICANN are the organisation who control all gTLD domain registrars.Read the ICANN FAQ.As a last resort, contact ICANN. You have to have made some effort to contact the registrar before contacting ICANN. - All other domain names
Try contacting the central registrar for that domain type. There is a list of all top-level registrars at: http://www.iana.org/domains/root/db/
